Cookie notice
This page explains cookies and similar storage on apipacketbase.digital. It should be read with the privacy notice. Last updated 13 August 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site or third party stores on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage keys. They can remember a choice, keep a page working, or measure how a site is used. They are not a deep-link SDK. Rejecting optional cookies on this studio site does not block catalogue pages, forms, or field notes.
Types we use
Essential. Required to remember that you have seen the consent banner and to keep basic site behaviour intact (for example, storing Accept or Reject so the banner does not return every click). These do not profile you for advertising.
Analytics (optional). Used only if you press Accept. They help us see which syllabus pages are read, in aggregate. If you press Reject, we do not set analytics cookies. The site remains fully usable either way. There is no dark pattern: Accept and Reject are both present on the banner.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| apipacketbase_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit. Essential. | Until you clear site data (localStorage) | Apipacketbase (first party) |
| apipacketbase_locale_hint | Optional future hint that pages are served in English. Not currently set. Listed so this table stays honest if we add it. | Not active | Apipacketbase (first party) |
| apb_page_view | Aggregate count of syllabus and field-note views. Analytics. Set only after Accept. | 6 months | Apipacketbase (first party) |
| _ga / similar | If we enable a third-party analytics tag after Accept, a provider cookie may appear. Until then it is not loaded. | Up to 13 months if enabled | Third-party analytics vendor (only after Accept) |
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner. To change a stored choice, clear cookies and localStorage for apipacketbase.digital in your browser, then reload; the banner will return. You can also block cookies entirely in browser settings. Blocking essential storage may make the banner return more often; it will not lock forms or course pages.
Major browsers offer site-level controls and “clear data on exit.” We do not operate a separate preference centre beyond the banner, because this is a small static site.
Third-party cookies
Fonts load from Google Fonts. Images may load from Unsplash. Those hosts can set their own cookies or logs when your browser requests the asset. We do not control their storage. If you reject analytics here, we still cannot stop a font or image host from seeing the request itself — that is how the web fetches files. Using a browser with strict tracking protection will further limit third-party cookies.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics cookies means we will not record aggregate page-view cookies for your browser. You will not lose access to Signal Path, pricing, or contact forms. Disabling all cookies and localStorage may cause the consent banner to show on every page load. Embedded third-party assets might still fail independently if your network or extension blocks them; that is unrelated to our Accept/Reject choice.
